Where to Print Wedding Invitations Online
Pssst. If you’re wondering where to print wedding invitations online, you’re in the right place. If you’d prefer to print wedding invitations yourself at home, click here.
In the 5 years that I’ve been designing wedding invitations, it wasn’t until recently that I started outsourcing our printing. Printing at home is great (in fact, I have an entire post about the best home printers coming up, in case you’re curious!) but sometimes you just want the process to be simple, even if it means spending a little extra to have someone else do it. If that’s where you’re at, then keep reading. We’ll tell you where to print wedding invitations without sinking your budget.
Where to Print Wedding Invitations
When it comes to printing invitation templates, most brides only care about the cost. They want the cheapest invitations they can get without sacrificing too much on quality or appearance.
Buuut… wedding invitations aren’t like business cards. Not all print shops can do it and make it look easy.
Price is important. But so is paper quality, print quality, expertise, turnaround time and customer service (because something is bound to go wrong every once in a while!)
Rather than walk you through everything you need to consider in terms of design, ink usage, card size and paper finish—all of which are important, btw—we’ll give you the deets on printers we’ve used and let you make up your own mind based on what’s important for you.
Sound good?

This is our favorite place to print wedding invitations. Not only do I use Cards and Pockets myself, but I send all of my template customers to Cards and Pockets, too.
They’re a white unicorn in the cardstock industry because they offer one-on-one service while still offering affordable prices. They print on pretty much any cardstock they carry, so you have options to choose from. And they have an amazing customer service team should you run into any issues.
Price wise, they’re slightly more expensive than Staples or some larger online printers. But unlike with other printers, I’ve never been let down by the quality.
I’m not kidding when I say they are the best.

Staples is great if you’re in a time crunch, not too picky about cardstock or quality, or you just want the cheapest invitations possible. You can upload your design online, choose between matte and glossy paper (they only offer one weight) and let them handle the rest. Your invitations will be ready for pick up at your local Staples store often the same day.

I have used VistaPrint in the past and the only thing that really sets them apart from other printers is the price. Their print quality is decent. They have a couple different kinds of paper to choose from. And their turnaround time is usually about 7-14 days, which isn’t too bad.
But they run specials all the time, which can cut the cost of your invitations in half. Again, if price is the biggest factor for you, then take a look at VistaPrint and see if they’re running any specials.
If not, I think Paper and More or CatPrint offer a higher quality and better paper selection for just a little bit more money.

CatPrint is a high quality, online digital printer that has a lot of experience printing wedding invitations, which is why I recommend them. Unlike Staples or VistaPrint, CatPrint has perfected wedding printing so you’ll never be let down by the quality. They also have an impressive selection of paper finishes and weights to choose from.
Their real selling point, though, is their high-end printing options, like gold foil or holographic printing. They’re able to print gold foil without the need for letterpress, making it affordable for those on a small budget.
Because there are so many printers out there, this isn’t a totally comprehensive list. But these are the printers we’ve used and can vouch for. As always, ordering a sample (even if it costs a few dollars extra) can save you tons of money and heartache in the long run.
Happy printing!
